Children´s Stories

Now posted: Under “Stories” you will now find the life stories of five children who are in the care of the Children of Our Home Foundation and/or waiting for a sponsorship. Read how they live and what they have been through at this young age.

We would like you to understand why children in the Bangkok slums need help and support. These stories show the need of the very young ones in the poorest neighbourhoods around Our Home Chapel. Meet Ian, Faye, Fred, Kathy and Farong on our “Stories” page!

We want to step in and change the direction of their lives. We want them to find out about their Heavenly Father and the gifts and talents He has placed in them. Join us in reaching out to these children. Become a sponsor through COHF!

Approval and Complement

It is done! Children of Our Home Foundation is approved by and registered with the Thai government!

Now we can start the work we have been preparing. We have so far selected 16 children whom we would like to accept into the sponsorship program. We will post their profiles soon. If you would like to sponsor one of the children, please contact us. You can fill in the application form under “Sponsorship” or send us an email under Children@OurHomeChapel.com.

Fern and Su

We can also report two new staff members. Fern has so far managed the church owned restaurant and will be responsible for the work in the community together with Su. We will soon post their stories on the “About Us” page.

We are grateful for the registration as well as the additions to our team!

150 Sponsors wanted

To look for 150 sponsors at a time might seem a bit extravagant for such a young foundation as ours, but in the surroundings of our church, in the whole of Bangkok, and in the kingdom of Thailand there are thousands of children in need of help and whose lives can be significantly improved with a sponsorship of US$ 45 a month. So we want to start as soon and as far-reaching as possible.

The pastor of Our Home Chapel, Pastor Dton, was a sponsored child by a Christian organisation, too. Without this sponsorship he would certainly not be the pastor of a Foursqare church in Bangkok now with a certificate from an American Bible School. Pastor Dton´s life is a good example for the purpose of a sponsorship: It is not only to improve the life of a child, but to develop them to be a person who passes what he or she was given on to others as a leader in the church or in a ministry to others. Just like Pastor Dton.

US$ 45 a month will offer health care, help with tuition and school supplies and additional training for children who otherwise might have to work at an early age and would not have any hope for vocational training or a good job. Children of Our Home Foundation wants to give them an opportunity to grow up to be indepentent and responsible adults.

150 children with a chance of education and a chance to know about a Heavenly Father who cares deeply about them, so much so that He has given His own son for them. Doesn´t that sound like a good start?
